Here’s a spoiler-filled recap of tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2019 Halloween live show.
So far four couples have left the competition – and tonight the remaining dancing duos performed a new selection of dazzling ballroom and Latin routines.
This weekend was the spookiest event in the Strictly Come Dancing calendar as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman hosted the year’s Halloween Special.
Sadly, due to injury, Will Bayley was unable to perform tonight. Under the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, Will has been granted a bye to next week.
The remaining couples in the competition got into the Halloween spirit and hit the dancefloor in a bid to impress judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.
As always, the judges decided who cast the best spell of the evening and their scores will be added to the viewers’ votes in Sunday’s results.
At the top of the leaderboard was Michelle Visage who performed a “phenomenal” Foxtrot that scored a near perfect 39 points – the highest marks of the series so far.
Also doing well again was current favourite to win Kelvin Fletcher who danced a “mesmerising” Tango but a mistake didn’t go unnoticed by the judges, leaving the actor with 36 points.
Alex Scott scored her best marks yet with a score of 34 points for a Street routine, dancing at the last minute with Kevin Clifton after her usual pro partner Neil Jones was injured in rehearsals.
Last week’s scoreboard leader Saffron Barker achieved 33 points, bewitching Bruno but Shirley felt the vlogger needed to tidy some things up.
Meanwhile, at the other end of things, in the bottom two of the judges’ scoreboard were Chris Ramsey and Catherine Tyldesley who scored 24 and 23 marks respectively.
Chris’ Samba hips didn’t quite win over the judges while Catherine’s Cha Cha was described as a “dance of two halves” by Craig.
They’re at risk of facing the dance off where last week it was David James who left Strictly Come Dancing.

However viewer votes could well take them out of danger.
The total judges’ marks will now be combined with the results from the latest public vote tonight.
As always two celebrity couples in the bottom two of the overall rankings will find themselves having to dance again in tomorrow night’s (Sunday) results show.
