When does Strictly Come Dancing start this year?

The Strictly Come Dancing 2018 launch show aired September 8 at 7:35PM.

The red carpet launch saw the celebs paired up with their pro partners before hitting the dancefloor for the first time.

Strictly’s live shows begin on Saturday, September 22 at 6:15PM, running through until December 15.

Who’s on Strictly Come Dancing 2018?

15 celebrity contestants have been confirmed for the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line up.


Author, inspirational speaker, TV presenter and charity campaigner Katie Piper became the first celebrity to officially join Strictly last month.

She was quickly followed by Vick Hope, Capital Radio DJ and TV presenter, Steps star Faye Tozer and the first ever YouTube vlogger to take to the Strictly ballroom, Joe Sugg.

More confirmed names for the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line up are England cricketer Graeme Swann, Red Dwarf actor Danny John-Jules and Dr Ranj Singh, TV Doctor on This Morning.

Also announced are BBC Three documentary maker Stacey Dooley, Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts, BBC News journalist Kate Silverton and comic Seann Walsh.

They’re joined Blue singer turned EastEnders actor Lee Ryan and Paratriathlete Lauren Steadman.

Television presenter and fashion journalist Susannah Constantine and Casualty actor Charles Venn complete the line up.

Strictly Come Dancing pros

The Strictly Come Dancing 2018 pros have been revealed


The BBC Has confirmed three new pros for 2018: They are Italian Latin Champion Graziano Di Prima, Professional South African Latin Champion Johannes Radebe and four-time winner of the Italian Dance Championship Luba Mushtuk.

But we have lost two Strictly pros: Brendan Cole, a series original, and Chloe Hewitt, who joined in 2016, will both be leaving the show.

It’s understood that Neil Jones alongside newbies Graziano and Johannes will not get a celeb partner.

Shirley Ballas will return as head judge on Strictly Come Dancing this year.

New judge Shirley joined Strictly Come Dancing last series in place of Len Goodman, who stepped down after a decade in 2016.

As well as taking over his seat on the panel, Shirley became the new head judge and had the casting vote in the dance off.


She’ll sit alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, and Bruno Tonioli once more.
