The latest celebrity has left Strictly Come Dancing 2017 in tonight’s results.

This weekend Strictly Come Dancing’s celebrity dancers and their professional partners once again each took to the dancefloor to impress the viewers at home – as well as the reduced line up of judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood in the studio.

Brian Conley and Simon Rimmer had to dance again and it was Brian who went home.

In tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing results, the judges’ scores were combined with the results of the viewers’ votes to decide the lowest scoring two couples facing the dance off.

This weekend, it was chef and TV presenter Simon Rimmer and his partner Karen Clifton; and comedian and actor Brian Conley and his partner Amy Dowden.

Both couples performed their routines again, Simon and Karen performed their Charleston to Fit As A Fiddle (And Ready For Love) by Gene Kelly and Brian and Amy did their Jive to It’s Not Unusual by Tom Jones in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.

After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts and all three saved Simon to leave Brian going home.

Craig Revel Horwood said: “Well both couples actually made mistakes in that, one fell-over and then the other one blanked before they went into a back-drop so it made it a really, really difficult choice. But the couple I am going to save just for that little bit of swivel is Simon and Karen.”

Darcey Bussell commented: “This is incredibly difficult with these two fabulous men and it’s not easy at all to choose between them. But I am going to save the person who had a more finished performance which was Simon and Karen.”

Head Judge Shirley Ballas agreed with her fellow judges and said she too would have saved Simon and Karen.

As a result it was Brian Conley and his partner Amy Dowden who found themselves leaving the competition.

When asked by Tess if he had enjoyed their time on the show, Brian said, “I have loved everything about this, I truly have. It’s one of the greatest shows, it’s a family show. And you know what, there has been someone by my side all the way through this journey who has been just there every moment and that is… Aston! I love him and I am really going to miss him (laughs).”

Brian continued: “I want to say something about this lady here. Amy, if I was only thirty years younger… and not fussy! Me and you, I am not kidding! I love this lady and I want her to be on this show for ever and ever because I want everyone out there to know how special this lady is because she is a star and I love her to bits.”

Amy added, “I have had the most amazing time, I’ve got not just Brian but his entire family as friends for life and thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

The remaining eleven Strictly Come Dancing couples will take to the dancefloor again next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on BBC One for its annual Halloween special.
