Who’s on Strictly Come Dancing 2017? Here’s all of the celebrity contestants as things stand.

Over a number of weeks earlier this year, the BBC confirmed celebrities for the Strictly 2017 cast daily and here’s a run down of who’s on the show after the latest elimination.

Mollie King (Pro partner: AJ Pritchard)
Singer Mollie King became the very first name officially confirmed for the Strictly Come Dancing 2017 line up. The Saturdays’ star said: “I’m a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing so I can’t actually believe I’m lucky enough to be taking part in it this year! It’s going to be a lot of hard work but I’m ready for the challenge.”

Davood Ghadami (Pro partner: Nadiya Bychkova)
Holby City Actor Davood Ghadami became the next name to be officially revealed on the Strictly line up by the BBC. He said: “Having the opportunity to take part in this year’s Strictly is such an honour… See you under the Glitterball!”

Gemma Atkinson (Pro partner: Aljaž Škorjanec)
Actress Gemma Atkinson first rose to fame in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks before moving to BBC One’s Casualty and later ITV’s Emmerdale. “I am honoured to be asked and so thrilled to be joining Strictly Come Dancing 2017!” said Gemma.

Joe McFadden (Pro partner: Katya Jones)
Actor Joe McFadden was the sixth name announced for the show, best-known for playing the role of Raffaello ‘Raf’ di Lucca in BBC One’s Holby City. Joe said: “Being asked to be part of it is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I’m thrilled and terrified about in equal measures!”

Susan Calman (Pro partner: Kevin Clifton)
The ninth confirmed celeb is Susan Calman, a Scottish comedian, broadcaster and a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4 as well as BBC One TV shows. Susan said: “Being on Strictly is a dream come true. Finally I can reveal all the moves I’ve been practising in my kitchen to the nation.”

Debbie McGee (Pro partner: Giovanni Pernice)
Debbie McGee is TV personality, presenter and the widow of magician Paul Daniels, who was also a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in series 8, lasting the two weeks. Debbie said: “There are no words to describe how I feel about performing on Strictly Come Dancing.

Alexandra Burke (Pro partner: Gorka Marquez)
The final celeb on Strictly 2017 is X Factor winner turned West End star Alexandra Burke. Alexandra said: “I am so excited to be joining this year’s Strictly cast! I love this show and have followed it from the beginning, so being able to be a part of it is just a dream come true for me – I still can’t believe it!

ELIMINATED: Jonnie Peacock (Pro partner: Oti Mabuse)
Sports star Jonnie Peacock is a double Paralympic, World and European T44 100m Champion. He sensationally won his first Paralympic Gold medal in London 2012 in front of 80,000 people. He said: “The opportunity to be the first contestant with a disability to take part in Strictly’s main show was too good to turn down.”

ELIMINATED: Ruth Langsford (Pro partner: Anton Du Beke)
Host of ITV’s This Morning and regular Loose Women panellist Ruth Langsford was the third confirmed celeb. She said, “I have dreamt about doing Strictly for so long, I can’t quite believe my dream has come true! “The sum of my dance experience is throwing a few shapes at a party, I’ve never had a dance lesson in my life.

ELIMINATED: Aston Merrygold (Pro partner: Janette Manrara)
Celebrity number 8 on Strictly Come Dancing was none other than JLS singer and former X Factor finalist Aston Merrygold. Entering as a favourite to win, Aston made a shock early exit in Week 7.

ELIMINATED: Simon Rimmer (Pro partner: Karen Clifton)
TV host and celeb chef Simon Rimmer was celeb number seven to join this year’s Strictly Come Dancing cast, best-known for being the chef and co-presenter on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch where the announcement was made. He was out in Week 6.

ELIMINATED: Brian Conley (Pro partner: Amy Dowden)
Brian Conley was the tenth celebrity on the Strictly Come Dancing 2017 line up. The comedian said: “I’m delighted and honoured to be asked to strut my stuff on this year’s Strictly. My family all love the show and can’t wait to see me do my Dad dancing on national television.” He left in Week 5.

ELIMINATED: Charlotte Hawkins (Pro partner: Brendan Cole)
Charlotte Hawkins broke her own news about joining Strictly as she hosted ITV’s Good Morning Britain. Charlotte said: “I am so thrilled to be one of the contestants on Strictly this year! I’ve always been a big fan of the show.” Charlotte was third to be voted out.

ELIMINATED: Reverend Richard Coles (Pro partner: Dianne Buswell)
Reverend Richard Coles was the fifth name to be revealed for the Strictly 2017 line up. He is a writer, broadcaster and Church of England priest and co-hosts BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live, as well as being a former member of pop band The Communards. He was eliminated in Week 2.

ELIMINATED: Chizzy Akudolu (Pro partner: Pasha Kovalev)
Holby City actress Chizzy Akudolu was the first celeb eliminated from Strictly. She said, “When I was 13, I made the finals of a disco dancing competition once but there was this amazing girl who exploded onto the stage with a gorgeous sequinned costume, throwing glitter everywhere… I knew it was game over for me.”
