Spice Girls’ Geri Horner has revealed she’s been ‘banned’ from I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The singer has ruled out taking part in the ITV series, saying her family won’t let her.
“I’m not allowed to go into the jungle, my sister has forbidden me to do it because I get hangry [hungry-angry],” Geri said.
She explained: “I think I could do all the trials but I wouldn’t feel comfortable eating the bugs and those nasty things.
“If there were snakes and spiders then I could probably zone out for those kinds of things, I’d go to my happy place.
“But I wouldn’t feel good about drinking all the flies and bugs.”
As for the possibility of us seeing Geri on Strictly Come Dancing, she suggested it was “too much hard work”.
“I’m not a trained dancer so when I was with the girls it always used to take me about four hours longer than everyone else to learn a dance routine,” Geri told The Sun newspaper. “It does look like so much fun and I love the show, but too much hard work.”
Meanwhile, Geri isn’t the only star to have turned down I’m A Celebrity.
Warwick Davis said last month he had turned down the show.
The actor, famous for his roles in films such as Star Wars and Harry Potter, says he doesn’t ever see himself in the jungle.
Warwick said: “I get asked to do a lot of reality shows. I love watching them but they don’t appeal to me as a performer.
“I’m A Celebrity got in touch, but I didn’t even find out what I would be getting paid.”
Piers Morgan also recently revealed he turned down ‘a lot of money’ to appear on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The former newspaper editor turned Good Morning Britain presenter suggested no amount would get him on the show.
“I’ve been offered lots of money for these things, to go and eat bugs,” he said on the ITV show. “They say ‘hey, do you want to go to a jungle in Australia and eat kangaroo testicles as Ant and Dec mock you?’ – no thanks. Why would I do that?”
I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV in the autumn.
