Social media star Mrs Hinch rumoured for Strictly Come Dancing line up

Social media star Mrs Hinch is the latest name linked to the Strictly Come Dancing line up.

The new series of Strictly Come Dancing will launch on BBC One in September.

And ‘cleaning sensation’ Sophie Hinchliffe could be one of the celebs, if the latest rumours are to be believed.

‘Mrs Hinch’ boasts over 2 million followers on Instagram where she shares her cleaning tips, while her new cleaning book has become an instant best seller.

She could become Strictly’s second social media celebrity after YouTuber Joe Sugg last year.

“They are keen to keep the show current and loved the influx of extra fans they got with vlogger Joe Sugg,” an insider claimed to The Sun newspaper. “The country is obsessed with Mrs Hinch and they think she would be a perfect fit.

“She has a great personality and is super glamorous too, so would be perfect in all the glitzy costumes.”

However the news comes after complaints about online ‘celebrities’ taking part in the series.

It was reported recently that Strictly’s pros had asked the Beeb to avoid casting social media stars with millions of followers for the next run, as they may have an unfair advantage.

Beyond social media stars, other names linked to Strictly this year include Happy Mondays performer Bez, model Vogue Williams, former England manager Sam Allardyce and Blue Peter’s Radzi Chinyanganya.

More names rumoured for Strictly Come Dancing are Tamara Ecclestone, Chris Evans and Popstars Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton.

Plus, there’s X Factor singer turned TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal.

Meanwhile, this year’s Strictly Come Dancing will also feature a shake up on the judging panel.

A spot on the Strictly panel opened up this week when Darcey Bussell made the surprise announcement she was quitting.

Darcey has been a judge on Strictly for seven years, sitting alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and head judge Shirley Ballas.
