Singing painter John Pierce wows the Britain’s Got Talent judges

A singing painter wowed the Britain’s Got Talent 2019 judges with a cover of Nessun Dorma.

In an audition cut from the main show, decorator John Pierce went before the panel this weekend.

He faced Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden in a bid to make it into the next round.

In his performance, which aired on ITV2’s More Talent, John belted out an opera classic for the judges.

John got four yeses from all of the judges to get through.

Other acts who went before the judges this weekend included a Swedish magician who performed the ‘world’s most dangerous card trick’.

And he wasn’t the only magic act this week.

We also met Matt Stirling, a 46 year old from Ruislip performed an impressive movie themed trick while 42-year-old policeman Dave was joined on stage by his dog Finn for their audition.

Rollerblading duo Rosie and Adam wowed with their daredevil routine before Katherine and Joe returned after a failed audition last year to offer up a cover of Frozen’s Let It Go featuring a tap dancing reindeer.

Rounding off this weekend’s contestants was 10-year-old singer Giorgia Borg from Malta who got straight through to the live shows after winning the latest golden buzzer of the series from Alesha Dixon.

Britain’s Got Talent 2019 returns next Saturday night on ITV for the latest round of auditions.

As always, straight afterwards you can tune in to Britain’s Got More Talent on ITV2 with more try outs and behind the scenes antics, hosted by Stephen Mulhern.

Those who make the cut will get the chance to appear in the live shows later this year.
