SAS: Who Dares Wins will air its first ever Stand Up To Cancer Celebrity Special this year.
The hit Channel 4 show will be putting celebs through their paces for the first time.
The team of ex-Special Forces operators, led by Chief Instructor Ant Middleton, will be putting 12 brave celebrities, both male and female, through an intensive 7 day course. The celebrities will find out if they’ve got what it takes to pass this unique version of SAS Selection, across 4 physically and psychologically demanding episodes.
As with the previous series, authenticity will be at the heart of the course, and the celeb recruits will receive no special treatment because of their notoriety, fame or status.
The course will be designed to reveal the true character of the recruits – and in a culture where being a celebrity is usually presented as glossy, air brushed, and filtered, the celebrities taking part in SAS: Who Dares Wins will be pushing themselves to their limits like we’ve never seen before.
The recruits won’t be able to hide behind their public persona, as the DS will delve deep beneath the surface to discover each individual’s unique personality traits. We will learn about each recruits strengths and weaknesses, their hopes and their fears, until finally they – and we the viewer – come to an understanding of who they really are.
Chief Instructor Ant Middleton said: “Physically demanding and psychologically gruelling, all but a few who take part will fail.
“This isn’t ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ or ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ – it’s the real deal – for the celebrities, it will be the most testing, revealing and ultimately rewarding process they have ever undertaken.”
