The Voice Kids begins its new series on Saturday night with a singing pitch from the coaches.

This weekend sees the opening round of blind auditions of the third series on Saturday, June 8 at 8PM on ITV.

This year sees four red chairs ready to be turned as Jessie J, a former coach on the main show, joins the Kids spin-off.

She sits alongside original Voice Kids star coaches will.i.am, Danny Jones and Pixie Lott who are back for their third series.

Just like in the adult version, contestants sing to the backs of the coaches in the hope of getting them to turn around.

If a coach likes what they hear, they can hit their buzzer to turn around and win the act for their team of singers.

But if more than one coach turns, it’s up to the contestant to choose which team to join.

One act impresses the panel so much on Saturday night is 13-year-old Liam who gets all four to turn around.

That leaves them with a full house to pick from when it comes to deciding which team to join.

With each coach doing their best to persuade the act to pick them, Jessie, Will, Pixie and Danny turn to song to make their pitch.

Helped out by The Voice’s live band, the group sing their reasons the act should join their team.

Meanwhile, in another change for 2019, this year The Voice Kids has opened its doors to duos for the first time.

Both solo singers and double acts, aged seven to 14, are eligible to come and sing their hearts out in a bid to get a coveted chair turn.
