The Holden Girls will follow the Britain’s Got Talent judge and her nan, Myrtle, as well as their friends, family and celebrity guests.

The documentary-style comedy series airs on Tuesday nights at 10PM on E4 and All 4.

A teaser for the show shares: “A concerned Amanda persuades her lonely nan to relocate from Doncaster to live with her in her swanky London house.

“Following a chaotic settling-in period, it isn’t long before tempers fray and Amanda is forced to choose between her husband and her difficult nan.”

But who is Amanda’s nan really? A preview video, which teases appearances from Craig Revel Horwood and Ben Shephard, left viewers all very confused.

One reacted on Twitter to the new show: “Why is Amanda holden and Keith lemon pretending he’s her nan? Is it 2003?”

Another added: “Oh blimey, kept seeing ads for that Mandy & Myrtle thing. Amanda Holden with her ‘nan’ that looks just like Leigh Francis and sure enough it is.”

Well for those wondering, Amanda’s nan is indeed being played by comedian Leigh Francis.

Announcing the show previously, Amanda said: “I’m delighted that everyone is finally going to meet my nan, the apple never falls far from my tree and in this series she will certainly be keeping me on my toes.”

Added her ‘nan’: “I have no comment, apart from I’m really hoping being on TV might mean I can finally meet my favourite young man, Ben Shephard.”

And Channel 4 Commissioning Editor, Steven Handley commented: “Amanda is one of the UK’s most well-known stars and we are thrilled to get insight into her life with her nan.”

The new show means Amanda will soon be appearing across all of the UK’s major TV networks.
