Megan Barton Hanson has accused Dancing On Ice of ‘stirring things up’ between her and ex Wes Nelson.
Megan announced she and Wes had “decided to separate” last month after around six months together.
Before the split, Megan lashed out at Wes’ Dancing On Ie pro partner Vanessa Bauer in a rant on social media, and has now blamed the show for “stirring” by pairing the two together.
“The fact that the producers deliberately stirred things up by partnering Wes with the youngest, hottest girl annoyed me,” Megan accuses in a new interview.
Speaking to this week’s OK! Magazine, Megan went to say she and Wes split because ‘they wanted different things’.
She revealed: “Our ambitions and goals in life are very different – Wes is younger than me and wrapped up in the fame bubble – but I still love him, which is why it hurts so much.
“I fought and fought and fought for Wes but he doesn’t love me back.”
Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that the split has left Wes ‘distracted’ in training for Dancing On Ice.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “It’s been a difficult time for Wes after Megan announced their split last week.
“Just when he thought it would get easier after the drama with Vanessa Bauer ended, he’s been faced with watching Megan go out and enjoy herself.
“He’s been keeping himself distracted with his mates, but friends fear his skating might have suffered this week.”
Despite the split – and her row with Vanessa – Megan appeared on Dancing On Ice last Sunday night to cheer on her ex.
She posted to Instagram before the show: “I will be down at Dancing On Ice tomorrow to watch him smash it again. Only one thing left to say, come on Wes and Vanessa! x”
Wes made it through the latest live show, with Dancing On Ice continuing Sunday nights at 6PM on ITV. He has yet to comment on the split.
