Fresh from leaving the villa last week, Amy is set to join the ITV daytime show from next week.

It follows her joining the panel on Tuesday alongside Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Brenda Edwards.

Amy told The Sun newspaper: “I’m so excited, I’ve been a fan of Loose Women since I was 12.

“It’s my birthday tomorrow so this is the best present ever. I can’t wait to see the ladies next Wednesday.”

Appearing on the show yesterday, Amy spoke about her exit after breaking up with Curtis Pritchard.

And she also reacted to Maura Higgins making a move on Curtis, insisting she wants “all of my friends to be happy.”

“Initially I didn’t warm to Maura because of her treatment to Molly and her treatment of Elma,” admitted Amy, “However because she’s kind, caring and funny and we’ve both travelled a lot, so we bonded over that.

“You live in the same house as people – we did form a friendship.”

She went on: “So, then for her to once again move the goal posts to suit her situation to decide we were never friends in the first place because she wanted to get with Curtis, obviously it’s not the most ideal thing.

“But I left on good terms with her because I want all of my friends to be happy.”

Amy decided to quit the villa last week.

Saying it was a “scary decision” to leave but insisting it was “the right one”, Amy wrote on Instagram after leaving: “ITS ONLY ME ITS ONLY AMZ! Wow. Just wow. There’s so many messages and I keep trying to reply but then more come through.

“Please know that I am so so so grateful for every single message of support that has been sent.”

Despite choosing to leave, Amy added: “I would do it all again tomorrow.

“I left on good terms with everyone and have nothing but amazing things to say about the show, the production team and Curtis…so if you read anything to the contrary, don’t believe it!”
