Little Mix ‘working on singing talent show for BBC One’

Little Mix are reportedly working on a singing talent show to air on BBC One.

Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall are rumoured to be taking on The X Factor with their very own show.

Little Mix were originally put together on The X Factor in 2011, going on to become the first group ever to win.

Now they’re said to be working on their very own talent series.

Little Mix The Search will apparently see the girls “mentoring on a show to find the next big pop group”, The Sun newspaper reports.

A source shared: “Saturday night needs a new singing competition to freshen it up and, with Little Mix involved, this could well be it.

“The girls will be mentoring youngsters.

“They’re hoping their experience will mean they can create a group which can forge a genuine career.”

The insider added: “The groups will also be helped by people who have worked with Little Mix during their careers.”

As yet the BBC hasn’t officially announced the show and its plans for the series.

The news comes as The X Factor prepares to swap its usual format in favour of a Celebrity spin-off.

The X Factor: Celebrity begins on Saturday, featuring a line up of familiar faces competing for a record deal.

They include Quiz show champion, Jenny Ryan; Reality star, Megan McKenna; and Glee Actor, Kevin McHale.

There are also a number of groups including one made up of former Love Island contestants Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott, Wes Nelson & Eyal Booker while Professional dancer, Brendan Cole and actor, Jeremy Edwards have formed duo Cole and Edwards.

The X Factor: Celebrity begins this Saturday 12th October 8:35pm on ITV.
