Take That’s The Band musical: Cast, dates, venues, tickets confirmed

Details about Take That’s The Band musical including dates, venues, tickets and cast have been confirmed.

New BBC One show Let It Shine fronted by Gary Barlow had been on the hunt for five guys to place the lead roles in the new stage show.

After seven weeks of singing in 2017, it was boy band Five To Five who won Let It Shine in the final show.

The group – made up of AJ Bentley, Nick Carsberg, Yazdan Qafouri Isfahani, Curtis T. Johns, and Sario Watanabe-Soloman – topped the public vote in the live final.

Gary told the group after the final result last year “A couple of years ago this started and I wanted a great band, what we have now is an incredible band.

THE BAND COMES TO LONDON'S WEST END!

“Well done guys. We start work tomorrow morning. You will be on stage with this musical in September in Manchester.”

The Band cast

The boys play the role of the band members in new musical The Band which is based on the songs of Take That – but is not about the band itself.

In fact, it’s actually about five girls, who are fans of the group.

The additional original cast included Rachel Lumberg, Faye Christall, Alison Fitzjohn, Emily Joyce, Jayne McKenna, and Rachelle Diedericks.

The show started touring the country from September 2017 and finishes its opening twelve month run in July 2018, with dates across England, Wales and Scotland.

A second leg has now been confirmed from September 2018, including a transfer to London’s West End throughout December and January.

Take That’s The Band tickets are on sale now from the Band Musical’s website here with over £2 million worth of ticket sales recorded already.

As for exactly what we can expect from the stage show – other than Take That’s songs of course! – Let It Shine judge Dannii Minogue teased: “I know everything about the show – but I can’t say anything!

“It’s so exciting and will be totally unexpected. I love what the whole show is going to be about. Having it explained to me fully, I was moved from tears to laughter just sitting there while he was talking to me about it.

“So once they get all the right performers in that show and get it up and running, it’s going to be incredible.”
