Jedward are in talks to join X Factor’s All Star series

Twin singers Jedward have confirmed they’re in talks to join The X Factor’s All Star series.

A brand new spin-off to the ITV singing competition is expected to air this autumn, featuring famous past contestants.

Duo Jedward – made up of brothers John and Edward – appeared on The X Factor in 2009 before going on to release three albums, compete in the Eurovision Song Contest and take part in Celebrity Big Brother.

Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women this week, the siblings revealed they had been asked to return for The X Factor’s All Star series.

But they admitted they had yet to decide if they wanted to make a comeback.

“I heard of this a couple of years ago actually, I remember it in the background,” John said. “I think it sounds exciting.

“We’re open for anything, you know? We’d give it a shot.”

Edward then shared: “Well I can tell everyone that they’re trying desperately to get me and John.

“They’ve been emailing us, we haven’t confirmed it but they’ve asked us, they definitely want us.”

However he added: “The thing about it is I don’t wanna go back and rewind what I’ve already done.

“We’ve progressed, we write our own songs, I don’t want to go back and do Britney Spears or Ghostbusters.”

Jedward were on the show to promote their upcoming tour, which you can view dates, venues and tickets for here.

Meanwhile, as for who could potentially join Jedward on an All Stars X Factor line up, there have been lots of rumours.

According to The Sun newspaper, Simon is keen to get a number of winners back including both Leona Lewis and Shayne Ward.

Also said to be in talks include the likes of Chico, Same Difference, and Honey G.

But a number of former X Factor contestants have ruled themselves out of the show.

They include Rylan Clark-Neal, who instead of returning to The X Factor will be co-hosting Strictly Come Dancing’s spin-off show It Takes Two this autumn.

The X Factor airs on ITV.
