Apply for Treasure Island with Bear Grylls Series 7 / 2020 applications

You can now apply to take part in The Island with Bear Grylls’ next series in 2020.

The first series of The Island averaged 3 million viewers back in 2014 and this year’s sixth run, which is currently airing on Sunday nights, has again proved a hit for Channel 4.

Thousands of people applied to take part in the previous series, all believing they had what it takes to survive cast away on a remote pacific island in just the clothes they stood up in, basic training and with just a few tools.

The next series is already on its way and is looking for a broad range of both men and women who think they have what it takes to thrive in such challenging conditions for a seventh series next year.

Bear Grylls said of the show: “It has been incredible to see the effect that The Island has not only on those who undergo the challenge themselves but also from so many millions of viewers around the world.

“It reminds us that when squeezed and stripped of everything, mankind and womankind still have an amazing spirit of resourcefulness, courage, and endurance, as well as an inspiring ability to form the closest of bonds with those alongside them going through hell.”

For 2019, the series saw money become directly involved with a £100,000 prize in what was named ‘Treasure Island With Bear Grylls’.

The money was hidden across The Island but there was a catch: If contestants left early, they had to leave empty-handed. Only those who made it to the very end could keep their share of any loot they found.
