Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring has been confirmed as the final contestant to sign up for Dancing On Ice 2018.
ITV has gradually been revealing the celebrities taking part in the ice skating contest over the past week, and today Steph announced she’ll be completing the line-up.
The 39-year-old, best known for playing Cindy Cunningham on the Channel 4 soap, has met her professional partner and will begin training with them shortly.
Speaking on AOL’s Build, she said: “It’s quite a daunting challenge. The first day was pretty tough. I thought I’d be better than I was. I fell over once.
“It’s very technical. It’s the way you hold yourself, the positioning of your feet. Balancing is the hardest thing to do.
“I thought ‘well I can do yoga, I can obviously skate on ice’… no Steph, you can’t!
A total of twelve famous faces are taking part in the new series of Dancing On Ice, which will be the show’s first in four years after it was rested in 2014.
Joining Steph are two more soap favourites, Coronation Street stars Brooke Vincent and Antony Cotton.
There’s three sports personalities in rugby player Max Evans, cricketer Monty Panesar and athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton.
Three reality stars are strapping on their skates: Bake Off winner Candice Brown, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, and X Factor’s Jake Quickenden.
The line-up also features Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker, weatherman Alex Beresford and TV presenter Donna Air.
Dancing On Ice is due to begin in early January, with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby resuming their hosting roles.
Skating icons Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are returning to the show, but as head judges rather than coaches.
Controversial choreographer Jason Gardiner is back on the Ice Panel, and there’s a new judge: Diversity frontman Ashley Banjo.
