Holly Willoughby wants to do Strictly Come Dancing – but never Dancing On Ice

Holly Willoughby says she really wants to do Strictly Come Dancing – but never Dancing On Ice.

Despite hosting the revived ITV show, Holly would rather appear on the BBC One series.

Holly said this week: “I’m obsessed with Strictly, so I’d love to learn to dance, but I’d be embarrassed to do it on the telly, which would be a problem.”

On Dancing On Ice, Holly said: “It’s too dangerous! Way too dangerous!”

Appearing on Loose Women Holly’s co-host Phillip Schofield revealed: “Well when they fall down in training, they say ‘if you’re down on the ice, fingers in’ – because they are blades! They can take your fingers off!”

Holly added: “There’s a lot of the show I don’t watch, I have my eyes shut because I can’t watch it!”

Last year, Holly said she’ll do Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 – if Phillip does I’m A Celebrity.

Holly revealed the deal in a chat on ITV’s This Morning.

The TV presenter was joined by co-host Phil and recent Strictly stars, Mollie King and AJ Pritchard.

“AJ was saying to me, when are you going to do Strictly?” Holly said to Phil. “And I was like, ‘no, no’. And you were saying ‘you should do it!’

“And I went right, when you go in the jungle, I’ll do Strictly.”

But in bad news for fans, Phil declared: “It’s never going to happen!”

Dancing On Ice returns to ITV this Sunday night while Strictly will be back on BBC One in the autumn.
