Gemma Collins ‘wants to join Strictly Come Dancing next year’

Gemma Collins is apparently eyeing up a spot on Strictly Come Dancing next year.

And it seems she has a way to make them say yes.

According to The Sun newspaper, the TOWIE star has said she won’t sue the BBC after THAT fall at the Radio 1 Teen Awards if they let her on Strictly.

Gemma took an unfortunate stumble while on stage and ended up falling down a pit.

“It is a miracle I am living to tell the tale,” a completely not over the top Gemma said after the tumble last month. “I could have died or at least been disabled at the end of it. I could have been legless.

“I didn’t even know there was a hole there. No joke, my life did flash before my eyes. I thought I was dead.”

And at the time, Gemma said she was speaking to lawyers about the incident.

She complained: “The BBC, they’ve not been in touch with any compensation or anything – or even an apology. It’s very important this gets sorted out because really you know what it is – it’s negligence. The BBC hasn’t sent any flowers. Nothing.”

Now a source has claimed Gemma is hoping to ditch the lawsuit for a spot on Strictly’s next series.

“Gemma is deadly serious about the Strictly trade off,” the insider alleged. “She has said to BBC that she will not pursue legal action if they give her a slot on the show.

“She loves Strictly and has always wanted to have a crack at it. She thinks this might be her chance to get on the show.”

So could GC be the next star on SCD? We’ll have to wait and see.

For now, Strictly is back this Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One.
