The Madame Blanc Mysteries continues with its latest series on Channel 5 tonight.
In the quiet dawn of Sainte Victoire, Gloria unwittingly stumbles upon a chilling scene: her dog Douglas finds a body with a fencing foil embedded in the chest, clutching a rare, diamond-studded cufflink.
Sensing the case’s oddity, Caron enlists Jean to inspect the sinister foil, identified as a 19th-century Epee du Combat. Intrigued, Jean demands a closer look at similar swords seized by the police.
Meanwhile, Dom finds La Couronne unexpectedly shut. Inside, Judith and Jeremy reveal that they’ve been the secret owners for years, having rescued the pub from financial collapse.
At the station, Caron unveils that the epee swords are part of a heist from a local museum. The victim, ex-gangster turned small-time crook George Allaire, adds to the puzzle with his connection to the luxurious cufflink.
Jean presents a photo of the cufflink to Charlie and Simone. Simone confesses to replicating it for an enigmatic, possibly dangerous client.
The plot unravels, exposing not just a murder but a tale of honour and Sainte Victoire’s final duel.
