Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild (Thailand)

Ben Fogle heads to Thailand in the next episode of New Lives in the Wild.

He travels to South-East Asia to visit Niall, a former high-flying entrepreneur who now dedicates his life to caring for street-dogs in Thailand, a journey that has been mutually transformative.

In the lush jungle wilderness of Koh Samui, Ben explores Niall’s self-constructed dog sanctuary. He dives into the daily routine, assisting volunteers and dog-loving locals with various tasks. Ben is involved in preparing meals for 800 dogs and accompanies Niall on his island-wide feeding excursions.

Together, they create innovative dog beds out of oil drums and a canine splash-pool. Through their interactions, Ben uncovers Niall’s past as a world-travelling chef and a social media expert, revealing a life filled with unexpected turns.

The show also delves into Niall’s brush with death and a heartwarming visit from his father, which further affirms that Niall has truly found his calling. Niall’s story is one of boundless ambition and profound transformation.
