The first details of Death in Paradise Series 9 have been confirmed.
Filming of Death In Paradise’s next series began this week in Guadeloupe.
Ardal O’Hanlon will reprise his role as lead detective DI Jack Mooney for the latest run of episodes.
The cast will also see Tobi Bakare (Officer JP Hooper), Shyko Amos (Officer Ruby Patterson), Don Warrington (Commissioner Selwyn Patterson) and Elizabeth Bourgine (Catherine Bordey) all return alongside new series regular Aude Legastelois (DS Madeleine Dumas).
The BBC tease of series 9: “Produced by Red Planet Pictures and filmed on the beautiful French-Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, the award-winning drama will continue to keep audiences guessing with mind-boggling puzzles, cunningly clever plot twists and a star-studded array of guest cast.
“Series nine will see the Honoré Police team get to know their new DS, Madeleine, while a surprise kiss catches Jack off guard…”
Death In Paradise first launched in 2011 and continues to prove a ratings hit.
Series 8 is one of the most watched shows of the year so far, with an average of more than 7 million viewers in consolidated ratings.
