Dancing On Ice’s Antony Cotton has revealed he could end up quitting the show.
The Coronation Street star is taking part in the series alongside co-star Brooke Vincent.
And Antony has said he’ll give up his place in the competition if the pair ever end up in the skate off together.
Dancing On Ice will return to TV tonight, Sunday (January 7) on ITV.
Antony and Brooke are two of twelve contestants on the revived series, which last aired in 2014.
Speaking ahead of the first show Antony said there was no rivalry between them and he’d step down if they had to skate off.
“If me and Brooke were in a skate off I would be an idiot to want myself to do better than Brooke,” Antony told The Sun newspaper. “I would say I give up my place so you can go and continue.
“There is absolutely no competition whatsoever.”
Meanwhile, Antony revealed it was another Corrie star – Samia Ghadie – who persuaded him to sign up for the show.
Antony explained: “She said it will change your life and it will be the best thing you have ever done and I genuinely didn’t believe that and for the first few weeks I thought people were mental this is ridiculous, and then something just clicks.
“Now I can say I’m thrilled and it’s been a life changing experience.”
Celebrities joining Antony and Brooke on the Dancing On Ice 2018 cast include Love Island contestant Kem Cetinay, Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker, X Factor singer Jake Quickenden, Rugby hunk Max Evans, and ITV Weatherman Alex Beresford.
They’ll be performing for a new look ice panel which includes returning judge Jason Gardiner.
Jason will be joined on the line up by Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo and skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who were coaches on the original series.
Dancing On Ice will start tonight Sunday, January 7 on ITV.
