Cheryl is NOT performing on the Britain’s Got Talent live shows

Claims that Cheryl will be making a music comeback on Britain’s Got Talent have been denied.

Reports had said that the singer was booked to appear on this year’s live shows.

But BGT sources have said there are no plans for her to appear.

“Cheryl performing on the show isn’t something being lined up for this year,” a source told The Sun newspaper.

Cheryl’s last album Only Human was released four years ago and spawned two hit Number 1 singles: Crazy Stupid Love and I Don’t Care.

She’s since returned to the studio after the birth of baby son Bear for a new record.

Cheryl will apparently promote her new music on The X Factor later this year, where she is rumoured to be returning as a judge.

Meanwhile, Britain’s Got Talent is expected to start the live semi-finals next month (May).

Although no start date has been officially confirmed just yet, based on past years we’d expect it all to begin on Monday May 28.

Typically the BGT live shows will air each week night across the week as the top contestants perform in a bid to make the grand final.

The final selection of acts as chosen by the judges – including the five golden buzzers – will all take to the stage in a bid to win the public’s support.

This year Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals will take place at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.

We’ll see Dec go solo as he hosts alone, each night welcoming a group of acts to the stage to perform for a chance of winning a life changing £250,000 and a spot at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams will offer their comments on the performances before lines open for viewers to vote.

For now, the auditions continue Saturday night on ITV.
