Celebs Go Dating’s Muggy Mike told off by his parents after shock date

Love Island’s Muggy Mike has been giving a telling off by his own parents after Celebs Go Dating.

The new series of Celebs Go Dating started on Sunday night on E4, with Mike Thalassitis one of the stars looking for love.

After failing in the Love Island villa last summer, he’s hired celebrity dating agents Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman to help him find the one.

But so far, Mike has been very much living up to his reputation as a bad boy.

In the first episode he asked out one girl, before snogging another in a hot tub at an after party.

He then returned to his original choice, and told her at the end of their date: “You’re drunk so I’ll put you in a cab home… unless you want to do something you regret tomorrow, like have sex?”

Mike’s antics haven’t won many fans so far, but he insisted he wasn’t a “nasty person”.

Speaking to BUILD, Mike explained: “I wanna be careful what I say, I wouldn’t say I was nasty to her or anything like that, I think people have taken it too serious and gone, oh, I’m this vile person.

“‘Cos I’m not a nasty person, yeah I admit I watched back the date and I cringed. My mum and dad ain’t spoken to me yet since they watched it either, so I definitely could have been more of a gent.”

He concluded: “At the end of the day, I didn’t fancy her and it’s a TV show. That’s what it is.”

Mike then said his appearance on Love Island had changed his attitudes towards dating.

He revealed: “After Love Island, all the crazy parties and the people coming up to you in the street, you do become a little bit more hostile.

“So if I don’t like you I’m not going to pretend to be really nice to you. It seems like everyone’s out to get you, people want to see you slip up constantly. So yeah, if I don’t like you and I’m not really trying to get to know you then you’re not going to see my best side.”

Celebs Go Dating continues Sunday-Thursday nights on E4 at 9PM.
