Celebs Go Dating’s future in doubt as new series is not confirmed yet

Celebs Go Dating has yet to be confirmed for a new series – but talks are underway.

The latest season of the E4 celebrity dating show was the most watched yet.

An average of over 700,000 viewers tuned in to the final episode last week (Thursday), beating ITV2’s Survival of the Fittest which had 450,000 viewers at the same time.

However a fifth season could be in doubt.

Celebs Go Dating’s receptionist Tom Read Wilson told DigitalSpy at this week’s TRIC Awards: “I know that, sort of, [another series is] vaguely on the cards but I don’t think it’s very definitely on the cards”

Earlier this month it was claimed a ‘backstage feud’ between dating agents Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman could cause problems for the show.

“Nadia and Eden’s feud is getting worse and it was so awkward by the end of the finale. Everyone was so happy for a break,” a source spilled to The Sun newspaper.

They claimed there was tension over tabloid stories surrounding Eden and his own relationships.

“Nadia and Eden need to make up and sort it out to keep bosses happy,” the source added. “They want the stars and their dates making the headlines, not the warring experts.”

However Tom played down the reports and said: “I am fairly confident [Eden and Nadia] will come back.”

Those on the Celeb Go Dating cast this time included Love Island’s ‘Muggy Mike’ Thalassitis, singer Tallia Storm and her ex Seb Morris.
