In each episode, the five celebrity contestants will take on a host of skill, physical, mental and mystery challenges, in the hope of winning crystals that can be exchanged for time in the iconic Crystal Dome.

The first episode of the new series will air 10PM on Thursday, 3 December on Channel 4 and continue weekly on Thursday nights.

Celebrity Crystal Maze 2020 episodes and line up

Episode 1 – 3 December
The line up will feature TV presenter Laura Whitmore as captain with comedian Chris Ramsey, dancers Perri Kiely and Jordan Banjo, and former rugby player Gareth Thomas taking on the maze. Big risks pay off for the celebrities who break several course records along their way through the maze – but will it all pay off when they enter the dome?

Episode 2 – 10 December
This time, actor Tamzin Outhwaite commandeers former cricketer Phil Tufnell, doctor and TV presenter Ranj Singh, reality star Francis Boulle and comedian Joel Dommett. There are the inevitable emotional highs and lows, and plenty of bad dad jokes, but can the celebrities make it out of the maze on speaking terms?

Episode 3 – 17 December
In this episode, radio DJ and TV presenter Matt Edmondson leads his teammates, showbiz legend Debbie McGee, singer and dancer Kimberly Wyatt, retired footballer Michael Owen and reality TV star Chris Hughes, as they duck, dive and daringly delve into the maze. One particularly wobbly challenge leaves the celebrities dumbfounded and in fits of hysterics, but will it derail the entire outing?

Episode 4 – 21 December
This time, pop star Faye Tozer steps up as team captain of the latest celebrity supergroup to tackle The Crystal Maze. Back-up comes from her vice-captain, comedian Nick Helm, and teammates, Hollyoaks actor and comedian Richard Blackwood, The Chase quizmaster Anne Hegerty, and Jordan Stephens, half of the hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks.

Episode 5 – 24 December
In this episode, reality TV star Spencer Matthews makes his second appearance in The Crystal Maze, but will he fare better this time with his wife Vogue Williams, a model and TV presenter, by his side? Joining them are team captain Sir Chris Hoy, the six-time Olympic gold-winning cyclist, reality TV star Jessica Wright and the Reverend Richard Coles, as they somewhat shakily navigate the pitfalls of the four zones.

Episode 6 – 31 December
This time, pop star Fleur East leads a thespian-filled team, as she guides actors John Thomson, Nina Wadia and Natalie Cassidy, as well as reality TV star Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, on a wild ride full of twists and turns.
