Bruno Tonioli misses tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2017 live show.
It’s the first episode in 15 years of the BBC One show that Bruno has missed.
He wasn’t replaced on the panel after being forced to skip the weekend due to a “prior work commitment”, The Sun newspaper reports.
A spokesperson for Strictly commented: “As was always the plan, Bruno Tonioli is not on the judging panel this weekend due to a very busy work schedule.
“He will be back as normal for our Halloween special and the rest of the series.”
The official Strictly Come Dancing Twitter account announced today: “NEWS: @BrunoTonioli won’t be on the #Strictly judging panel this week, due to a busy work schedule. Hurry back for Halloween Bruno!”
Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, and Craig Revel Horwood made up the slimmed down panel for both tonight’s live show and Sunday’s results.
It means that contestants were scored out of a maximum of 30 points and there was chance of a deadlock in the dance-off.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman returned to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom to host the show this evening as the battle to lift the Glitterball Trophy continued.
The 12 remaining couples each took to the floor in a bid to impress the judging panel as the competition reached its fifth week.
The three judges will be looking for the couples to really show what they are capable of. After the judges have given their scores, the public will have the chance to cast their votes.
The two couples with the lowest combined judges’ scores and viewer votes will face the dreaded dance-off on Sunday’s Results show.
As well as the latest elimination, there will also be a sensational group number from the professional dancers and a musical performance from The Script.
Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight (Saturday), October 21 at 6:35PM and Sunday, October 22 at 7:15PM.
