Britain’s Got Talent winner Lost Voice Guy reveals prize money plans

Britain’s Got Talent finalist Lost Voice Guy has revealed his plan for the prize money.

37-year-old Lee Ridley lives in Newcastle, were he works as a full-time stand-up comedian.

Lee has cerebral palsy, and after falling ill as a baby was left unable to speak. He uses a ‘text-to-speech’ app on his iPad to communicate.

On Monday, Lee made it through to tonight’s grand finale after topping the public vote.

Lost Voice Guy Lee went on to win the series last night, taking home the £250,000 prize and a spot on the Royal Variety Show.

Speaking ahead of the final, Lee said if he won the prize money would be spent on rewarding those who have helped his comedy career.

“I’d like to help the people who got me to where I am,” he told the Daily Mirror. “I have several support workers who help me get to all of my gigs so I’d like to reward them.

“My family have always supported me as well – and let’s face it, doing stand-up comedy when you can’t even speak is a pretty crazy dream – so I’d buy them all something nice too.”

Lee also joked he wanted to spend some of the money on getting a Geordie accent for his iPad.

The other acts in the final were acrobats Giang Brothers and comedy singer Micky P Kerr, dancers DVJ, father and son singing duo Tim and Jack, comedian Robert White, singer Gruffydd Wyn Roberts, singer Donchez Dacres, singer Calum Courtney and the D-Day Darlings in the final.

Joining them was the wild card act, the B-Positive Choir.

As well as the finalists’ performance, the last live show of the series also saw appearances from The Cast Of Magic Mike from Las Vegas and the Cast Of Tina Turner The Musical
