Britain’s Got Talent 2019 aired its penultimate round of auditions on ITV this weekend but which act was the best?
Saturday saw a bumper seventh episode on ITV from 8PM with a total of nine more acts going before the judges.
Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell return to the panel while Ant and Dec are back watching on from the sidelines.
As always, acts needed three or more yeses to get through to the next round, and potentially make the live shows.
Acts that impressed this week included mind reading duo Mind2Mind, made up of a couple from Milton Keynes and Ukraine. They left the judges stunned after showcasing their telepathic talents, getting both Simon and Amanda involved in their audition.
Barber instructor Jacob Jones from Surrey performed Joe Cocker’s You Are So Beautiful to make it through, before getting a fifth yes from his girlfriend after he proposed on stage.
Teacher Tony Rudd from Bournemouth and his comedy impressions ranging from Michael McIntyre to Darth Vader won him a place in the next stage, while cheeky dance duo Libby and Charlie also got four yeses after their routine to A Thousand Years.
We also met Dr Dance, who wanted to get the whole nation on their feet. While he failed to win over Simon, the other judges all said yes.
More acts getting through were the Truro Cathedral Choir from Cornwall who sang Can You Feel The Love Tonight? and 15-year-old magician Dan Rhodes, who cut Amanda in half using his cardboard contraption.
Finally, closing the show was 31-year-old singer Leanne Mya from London who gave a touching performance of Sam Smith’s Lay Me Down to get four yeses from the judges.
