Britain’s Got Talent viewers will be “spoilt for talent” according to judge Alesha Dixon.
Alesha will be back on TV next month for the new series of BGT alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams.
And she’s been teasing viewers about we can expect from the 2018 show.
“You’re in for a treat this year. We have been spoilt for talent, we are over the moon with the turnout,” Alesha said this week.
“Britain has not run out of talent,” she added to the Daily Express newspaper. “I think what happens every year is people’s standards go up and I think we’re always looking for the next big thing.
“We are always a little bit nervous during the auditions because we want to get those gems.”
Meanwhile, Alesha let us in on what goes on behind the scenes of the ITV series.
“It’s all very relaxed backstage! We put on our slippers and robes, eat our lunch and have a cup of tea!” she spilled.
Auditions for the new series of BGT wrapped up filming earlier this year.
As well as the usual singers and dancers there was also a plate smashing routine that ended in chaos and a moving performance from a victim of the Manchester Arena bombing.
Only a few hundred made it through after showing off their talents in front of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent judges, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.
Auditions for Britain’s Got Talent 2018 will start on TV from next month.
No air date has been revealed just yet, but rumour has it the show will begin on Saturday, April 14.
