Here’s your first look at The Apprentice 2017 this week as candidates open dog based businesses.
After last week saw Lord Sugar’s wannabe partners challenged to advertise a car, this Wednesday the task is a whole different beast.
The group get an early morning surprise at the house when Lord Sugar interrupts their sleep.
“Hurry up,” Lord Sugar instructs as the candidates make themselves look respectable and rush to the kitchen.
The boss’ arrival signals the start of week eight, as Lord Sugar tasks the candidates to prove their pedigree by running their own doggy service businesses.
Based at an established pooch pampering venue, the teams must tempt discerning dog owners to part with their cash for services aimed at their four legged friends.
On one team, a haphazard pricing strategy leads to a rough time managing their dog obedience class: and that’s just the owners.
Meanwhile, the other team discover they may have bitten off more than they can chew at their luxury doggy spa service.
Both teams are also let off the leash, providing a mobile service to make more doggy pounds. But a canine photoshoot leaves some candidates growling – at each other.
In this second preview clip, we see the candidates stage a canine photoshoot with little paws for thought.
Elsewhere, underestimating the scale of a pooper scooping contract lands the others in deep doo-doo.
Back in the boardroom it’s a dog fight. But the candidates are left in no doubt that Lord Sugar’s bark matches his bite as one candidate is told – “you’re fired!”
The Apprentice 2017 airs Wednesday night at 9PM on BBC One.
You can catch spin-off show You’re Fired straight after at 10PM on BBC Two.
