Antony Cotton has tonight been confirmed as the eleventh celebrity to compete in Dancing on Ice 2018.
The news was confirmed after this evening’s second episode of Coronation Street.
Soap actor Antony has met his professional partner and will now embark on training ahead of the new series, which returns to ITV in the New Year.
Antony said: “I better get my skates on – I’ve got practising to do!”
A total of 12 celebrities will be skating to impress the ice panel, consisting of skating legends Torvill and Dean, show favourite Jason Gardiner and new judge Ashley Banjo, as well as the viewers at home.
Antony makes eleven confirmed contestants so far, alongside fellow soap star Brooke Vincent who was revealed as the new series’ first signing at the end of October.
Cheryl Baker was the second celebrity confirmed to compete in Dancing on Ice 2018 before Love Island contestant Kem Cetinay became the third star on the cast.
Joining them are Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown, X Factor singer Jake Quickenden, Rugby hunk Max Evans, Cricket hero Monty Panesar and ITV Weatherman Alex Beresford.
Actress and TV presenter Donna Air and athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton are the latest names on the official Dancing On Ice line up.
Meanwhile, new judge Ashley said today: “This show feels like it’s embedded into society. I was really excited to be part of the revamp and the refresh. I’m going to be myself, be constructive, and just be ready for Jason!
“I’m going to be honest. If someone is great, I’ll tell them they’re great. If people need telling that it was bad, I’ll tell them.”
The brand new series of Dancing On Ice is expected to return to ITV in January, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield.
