Alisah Bonaobra wowed The X Factor UK judges with a cover of Defying Gravity in tonight’s bootcamp arena auditions.
The Filipino singer made an amazing comeback after being left in tears during the first bootcamp challenge.
Belting out the classic musical hit from Wicked, Alisha had the audience on their feet and the judges full of praise.
“This is me, this is my life, I want to own this stage right now,” Alisah said of the song choice.
“What happened to you in 24 hours?!” reacted Simon Cowell. “You were literally lying on the floor crying, and now this.”
Alisah’s amazing performance came just a day after originally being given a NO in the first stage of bootcamp.
Alisah was in a group singing Mariah Carey’s We Belong Together with Natalie Lomax, Rai-Elle Williams and Gaga Lord.
Following an impressive audition Alisah struggled with the first stage of bootcamp and was given a no by the judges.
But Alisah refused to leave the stage and begged Simon for another chance.
“No, no no,” Simon initially responded, “it’s not just me. We’ve made a decision.”
In tears on stage, Alisah was comforted by Nicole before belting out the song a capella, prompting a change in mind from the panel.
The Voice of the Philippines runner up Alisah originally auditioned for The X Factor UK 2017 last Saturday night in the penultimate round of auditions.
22-year-old singer Alisah is from Manila, Philippines where she finished as runner up on their version of The Voice.
Hoping for better success on The X Factor, Alisah performed Beyoncé’s Listen at the room auditions.
The X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
