Alexandra Burke wows Strictly judges but some viewers aren’t impressed

Alexandra Burke scored top marks on Strictly Come Dancing 2017 tonight – but not everyone was impressed.

Tonight Strictly was back to its usual glitz and glam self following last week’s traditional Halloween spectacular.

Once again deciding who was on top form this evening were judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, who scored the ten remaining celebrity couples.

Alexandra and pro partner Gorka Marquez opened the night with a Cha Cha to I Got The Music In Me by Marcia Hines.

It scored almost a perfect 40 with only Craig not giving a full ten marks, leaving Alexandra second on the scoreboard with 39 points.

However viewers had quite a lot to say about the latest Strictly outing for the former X Factor winner.

“Shirley: ‘Alexandra you looked like a professional!’ Erm… that’s because she is,” one wrote on Twitter.

Another criticised: “Although she always behaves shocked by the compliments I can’t help but think she expects them #alexandra #strictly”

And a third even claimed: “Alexandra Burke has to the fakest person on the show #Strictly.”

Others however jumped to Alexandra’s defence.

“Why do the audience at home hate Alexandra Burke so much? What exactly has she done wrong what did i miss? #strictly #strictly2017” one posted.

Meanwhile, former Strictly pro James Jordan suggested Alexandra was overmarked by the judges.

“WOW…. I think Alexandra is brilliant but NEVER a 10 No one mentioned loss of balance or stiff arms in New York section,” he wrote.

James added: “I remember when 10’s were for epic performances like Aston’s Paso or Alexandra’s Jive BUT that was not epic.. sorry.”
