Alesha Dixon announces pregnancy on Britain’s Got Talent live show

Alesha Dixon announced she is expecting her second child on Britain’s Got Talent live shows tonight.

The live semi-finals of BGT kicked off live tonight on ITV from 7:30PM.

Hosts Ant and Dec opened the show with a big musical number, that included the lyrics that “Alesha was expecting”.

Chatting to the judges after, Alesha confirmed the happy news that she is pregnant

“I’m over the moon. This is definitely the place to celebrate it,” she said.

Alesha, married to Azuka Ononye, previously welcomed her first daughter Azura in 2013.

It was then onto the performances.

In tonight’s first semi-final were rollerblading duo Rosie and Adam, magic act The Haunting (Elizabeth), mind reading dog act Dave and Finn, dancer group Khronos Girls, comedy impressionist Tony Rudd and singer Brian Gilligan.

They were joined by two golden buzzers: David Walliams’ pick, the singing and dancing kids of Flakefleet Primary School, and Ant and Dec’s choice, dancer Akshat Singh, who opened the episode.

Each night, eight of the the final 40 semi-finalists will take to the stage live in the hope of impressing the viewers at home and winning the all important public vote.

The act with the highest public vote will automatically go into the final while the judges will decide between the second and third placed acts as to who will join them.

Britain’s Got Talent’s live semi-finals air Monday-Friday at 7:30PM all this week with the results at 9:30PM.

The ten acts who make the final will perform live again in the grand final on Sunday, June 2.

The prize for the winner is £250,000 and a spot appearing in the Royal Variety Performance.
