Zoe Ball will miss tonight’s It Takes Two and here’s exactly why and who’s replacing her.
Zoe will not be fronting the BBC Two show Wednesday nor tonight (Thursday) because of an illness.
Instead, her usual Friday night co-host Gethin Jones will be stepping in.
Gethin typically hosts backstage coverage on the longer Friday night shows but will be in the studio for the next two days to cover for Zoe.
A spokesperson for the BBC announced: “Zoe unfortunately has come down with a nasty stomach bug. She is at home resting and hoping to feel better for Blackpool weekend. She is thankful to Gethin for stepping in last minute.
“Gethin Jones will be stepping in to present Strictly’s It Takes Two on BBC Two tonight and tomorrow. Get well soon Zoe!”
Tonight’s It Takes Two will feature Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez, Davood Ghadami and Nadiya Bychkova and Mollie King and AJ Pritchard.
As usual, Ian Waite returns each week with Waite’s Warm-up to analyse the couples in the training rooms. Plus Strictly’s professional dancers, Neil Jones and Chloe Hewitt will be regular contributors sharing all the goings on from behind-the-scenes.
The show airs for 30 minutes at 6:30PM on Monday-Thursday, but Friday sees an extra special show at 6PM, filmed in front of a live audience and joined by special guests.
