X Factor’s Tracy Leanne Jefford is preparing to release a debut single

X Factor finalist Tracy Leanne Jefford is preparing to release her first single.

Tracy Leanne made it through to the live shows on last year’s series, but was eliminated on the second weekend.

She wasn’t signed by Simon Cowell so instead Tracy Leanne is going it alone.

“I was released from the contract. But it ain’t gonna stop me with my music,” she said this week.

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Tracy Leanne revealed: “I have been approached by a few labels. So that’s really, really positive for me.

“And I haven’t jumped in with any of them yet because I want to see who else approaches me and how I can better myself from that.

“It’s their choice if they wanted to sign me.”

Tracy Leanne went on to praise Simon Cowell for being a “diamond” to her.

“That man believed in me in the beginning and he gave me that chance,” she said. “He even come on that stage that night (she left the X Factor) and cuddled me and said, ‘you are what this show is about’. Because I was myself.”

Tracy Leanne’s album is due out in the autumn following her single I Wish I Didn’t Love You.

She said of the song: “One of the tracks is based on my life. It goes into my past but it’s letting people now know that I’m a strong person. It’s called I Wish I Didn’t Love You.”
