X Factor’s Rebecca Ferguson has revealed plans for a new music project.
The 2010 runner up has been quiet for a while now, but assured fans she’s about to make a comeback.
Rebecca finished second to Matt Cardle on The X Factor in 2010, beating One Direction and Cher Lloyd in the final.
Rebecca was quickly signed and has so far released four studio albums, her last in 2016.
Now the Liverpudlian singer is set for album number five, teasing fans on Twitter this week that new music was “coming”.
She told her followers: “I’m not hiding I’m just writing my next album.
“And I don’t love showbiz all that much so if I’m not on stage or promoting an album I’m at home with my family.
“But new music is coming.”
Earlier this year saw Rebecca go out on tour, where she revealed she’s not heard from any of her fellow X Factor stars in “years”.
“I feel really bad but I haven’t seen any of them for years,” Rebecca told the Daily Star newspaper. “We stayed in touch for a while, chatting on BBM but not any more. If I ever see them though, like Harry Styles, he’s always a very polite person, always really welcoming and warm.”
And Rebecca also revealed she’d love to join the cast of Strictly Come Dancing.
“I’ve got two left feet so I’d probably be terrible but it’d be a nice challenge,” she said. “I missed the last one – I’d have liked to have seen Alexandra Burke because there was all that controversial talk about it!”
