X Factor’s Grace Davies says sorry to fans after being struck down by illness on live tour

X Factor’s Grace Davies has said sorry to fans after being struck down by illness on the live tour.

The singer had to sit out the final number of last night’s date in Nottingham, and after the show posted a message to her followers.

She wrote: “Hi guys, just want to apologise if you were at the Nottingham show tonight. You were such an incredible crowd and it meant so much to come runner up.

“Unfortunately I have been suffering quite badly from Tonsillitis this week and it really hit me all over today.

“I put everything I had in my body into my performances tonight and I thought I was going to faint on stage so I ran off and was sat outside while the group number was going on.

“I’m really sorry for letting you guys down, feel like a right drama queen!!!!” Grace added. “I’m going to get lots of rest tonight and fingers crossed I’ll be able to perform tomorrow Love you all xxx”

Despite the illness, Grace was still voted the second best act of the night by the audience, behind winners Rak-Su who topped a new crowd vote at the end of each tour date.

Alongside Grace and Rak-Su on the X Factor tour line up are Kevin Davy White, Lloyd Macey, The CutKelvins, Matt Linnen and Sean and Conor Price.

The live arena shows sees the acts singing their songs from last year’s TV series, with Grace performing original numbers including Roots and Too Young.

It’s already been confirmed that Grace has been signed by Simon Cowell’s Syco record label, with an album in the works.

However it won’t be out until it’s perfect.

Grace previously told the Daily Star newspaper: “I need this album to be personal to me and I need it to come from my heart and my brain so it will all be written by me.

“I am writing and writing every single day. It has got to be perfect for me and I don’t want to release s***.”

The X Factor tour continues in London Birmingham over the weekend.
