Loverine Fermino made quite the impact on The X Factor 2017 UK tonight.
The 31-year-old singer from the Philippines hadn’t been seen on the show before today.
But singing Jennifer Holliday’s And I Am Telling You, we’re sure to remember her.
This evening was the second of three six chair challenge episodes, this time focused on Simon Cowell and the Groups and Nicole Scherzinger with the Overs.
As always, the acts chose their own song to sing for the panel, plus live audience at Wembley Arena.

And while everyone offered up opinions, it was down to the mentor of the category alone to decide who goes through.
Before her Six Chair Performance tonight, Loverine told cameras: “I can’t believe that I’m here. I’ve been dreaming this since I was a little girl. It means so much to me, my life.
“I don’t want to lose this chance. That’s the seat that can change my life.”
After Loverine’s performance, Sharon Osbourne reacted: “There’s a phrase called sing for your life and my goodness, you did.”
Simon Cowell added: “The exciting thing is how much you want it, Nicole you have to give this girl a seat.”
However, Loverine’s mentor Nicole wasn’t quite sure about Loverine getting a chair.
“Hands down you have one of the strongest voices in this competition but I’m not gonna lie, I’m sorry I didn’t love that audition,” Nicole confessed, “For me it was your worst audition. I was hoping to connect with that performance more and I didn’t.”
But despite the reservations, Loverine won a seat at judges’ houses – at least for now.
The Six Chair Challenge then continues on Sunday night at 7PM with the rest of Nicole and her Overs.
