X Factor favourites Sean and Conor Price struggle at bootcamp arena auditions

X Factor duo Sean and Conor Price had a tough time in tonight’s bootcamp auditions.

This evening saw the second of three bumper bootcamp shows as the arena auditions continued.

Each of the remaining contestants in the competition picked their own song before facing the judges and a 5,000 strong live audience at Wembley Arena.

First up to sing were duo The Price Brothers, made up of brothers Sean (17) and Conor (15) from Blessington, Ireland.

They said backstage: “Everything’s going so well for us, we don’t want to go home yet.

“Six Chair Challenge, we want to be there, judges’ houses we want to be there, Live shows, we want to be there.”

The pair chose to perform Madcon – Beggin’, saying: “It’s got loads of energy, it gives us both an opportunity to perform and I think the audience will love it.”

However no sooner did they start, Simon Cowell’s hand was up to tell them to stop.

After being asked for another performance, the Price brothers opted for Ed Sheeran’s Sing.

The judges then had a private chat before delivering their decision.

“This is really hard for us because as Simon said this wasn’t your best performance,” said Nicole Scherzinger.

But despite the concerns, the judges said yes to put the duo through to the six chair challenge.

Another group struggling in the arena auditions were family trio The CutKelvins who sing Kool and The Gang’s Get Down On It.

Simon Cowell told them: “I think what you’re trying to do musically is so wrong at the moment.”

The X Factor 2017 continues Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
