X Factor’s Rak-Su are going to perform a “Garage Banger” this weekend.
The four piece are ditching the original songs as they cover 2000 hit Flowers by Sweet Female Attitude.
Tonight, each of the remaining six contestants will have the chance to impress the viewers at home in a bid to make the final.
In a first for this year, the contestants will all be singing together having performed in their categories up until now.
This evening, the six acts will all sing for the first time as they celebrate the best of British music with the theme ‘Cool Britannia’.
After revealing their song choice, Rak-Su tweeted: “Semi Finals – Cool Brittania (Best of British) we’ve decided we were gonna dip into a genre which is British and that we grew up with!
“We’re gonna do a refix of Flowers… an absolute Garage Banger… looking forward to tomorrow!!”
While they may be doing a cover tonight, Rak-Su have already been working on new original material for after the show, it’s been claimed.
The four piece are said to be working alongside Naughty Boy, who has previously enjoyed hits with stars including Emeli Sande, Sam Smith and Beyonce.
“Naughty Boy saw the lads on X Factor and was impressed, and he’s actually known them since they were kids,” a source spilled to The Sun newspaper.
They revealed: “So he got in touch and suggested working on some music together, and Simon has given it the OK. They’re hoping it could form the basis of their debut after the show ends.”
It seems the future is bright for Rak-Su, who are the current favourites to win the series.
But to enjoy victory they must first make it through this weekend’s semi-finals.
With the sing off gone, viewer votes alone will determine who loses their place in the competition.
The remaining five acts will then go forward to Sunday’s show.
They’ll all perform a brand new song in a bid to get through to next week’s final before one more act is sent packing.
The X Factor 2017 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV, starting at 7:30PM.
One act will be leaving at the end of each evening’s show.
Guests over the weekend will be Ed Sheeran and James Arthur.
