X Factor contestants raise money for the Poppy Appeal in London

The X Factor 2018 contestants took to the streets of London today to help raise money for the annual Poppy Appeal.

To mark London Poppy Day, X Factor acts Bella Penfold, Shan Ako, Molly Scott and Brendan Murray joined volunteer collectors to sell poppies today outside St Paul’s Cathedral.

Despite the rainy weather, they managed to make the public smile, sell poppies and meet military personnel and other volunteers.

Bella was over the moon to get the top donation out of the X Factor contestants, with one generous member of the public donating £10.

And even with the weather not on their side, they were still able to hold an impromptu little sing song too.

Bella, Shan, Molly and Brendan will all be singing again this weekend as the live shows continue.

Joining them in the next live show are duo Acacia and Aaliya, boy band United Vibe, Scarlett Lee, Anthony Russell, Dalton Andre Harris, Danny Tetley, duo Misunderstood and Giovanni Spano.

This weekend’s theme is ‘Fright Night’ as The X Factor celebrates Halloween, albeit a few days later than everyone else.

Last Sunday’s results saw Janice Robinson and LMA Choir both eliminated and it’s expected that another two acts will be heading home this Sunday night.
