X Factor contestant Talia Dean has a very big name in her contact book.
The 2017 hopeful, who previously impressed the judges at the audition stages of the competition, has been getting advice from Queen’s Brian May.
According to the Sunday People, Talia and Brian struck up a working relationship in 2015 when they were recording music in the same studio.
The newspaper says that Brian helped Talia, who was then part of a band, out by paying studio fees before coaching her on the music industry.
“Brian really took Talia under his wing. He would offer her advice about the music industry,” a source told the newspaper. “Talia couldn’t believe a superstar like him was giving her some much of his time.
“When she told him she couldn’t pay the studio fees she could not believe it when he wrote a cheque to clear the debt. She owes a lot to Brian.”
Talia put the judges under her spell back at the room auditions.
And she revealed a unique history with two of them.
It turned out that Talia had previously met both Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger while in her day job as a VIP concierge working at Heathrow Airport.
“You don’t recognise me do you?” Talia asked the panel.
She then explained to Nicole and Sharon: “You told me to go for this. I’m here because of you. I’ve carried your bags and you told me to go for this and that’s why I’m here today.
“I’ve had photos with you in my uniform!”
With this being her chance to shine, Talia left a lasting impression with her audition.
She belted out a cover of I Put A Spell On You to get four yeses from the panel.
But can Talia make it through the six chair challenge?
The X Factor 2017 returns Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
