As another X Factor winner charts with their winner’s single, we take a look back at the four biggest so far.
Dalton Andre Harris has become the fifteenth star of the show to release a winner’s song and it’s currently competing for Number 1 in the charts.
But will he match up to any of these, the four biggest selling so far?
James Arthur – Impossible
James and his 2012 winner’s track, Impossible has sold over 1.5 million copies to date. It’s the biggest selling X Factor winner’s single ever and sold 500,000 copies in its first week alone. Six years on, James remains signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco label and is readying a new album.

Hallelujah – Alexandra Burke
Ranking in at Number 2 in this countdown is Alex’s cover of Hallelujah which soared to Number 1 in 2008 on huge sales and has since gone on to shift 1.4 million copies. Alexandra has since moved into musical theatre, currently on tour with The Bodyguard.
That’s My Goal – Shayne Ward
One of the earlier winner’s singles to be released and the an original track, That’s My Goal by 2005 champ Shayne has shifted 1.1 million units to date. It was the biggest selling X Factor winner’s song in its first week, shifting some 700,000 copies.
Matt Cardle – When We Collide
Finally in this countdown is 2010’s Matt Cardle who beat One Direction to the win and sold 1 million copies of his winner’s single, When We Collide. Like most on this list, it was success he couldn’t repeat.
The X Factor will return in 2019 for a new series.
