X Factor 2018 spoilers! First look at this year’s auditions with the new judges

The X Factor 2018 has wrapped up its auditions – and here’s a first look.

The new series of The X Factor will start on TV in the autumn on ITV, with auditions filming in London over the past week.

This year Simon Cowell will be joined by new X Factor 2018 judges Ayda Williams, Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson on the panel.

Simon said of the new line up: “This new panel is all about optimism, everyone has a real passion for finding a new star. The three new judges bring a whole new energy and I’m excited.”

The X Factor judges and host Dermot O’Leary have been teasing what we can expect when the show hits our screens.

In a video posted to the official Twitter channel, Dermot called out one singer as a potential finalist already.

“I believe we may already have at least one finalist. Girl. Over,” he teased.

Other videos shared revealed how one contestant got the crowd singing along and a standing ovation as they sang for the panel.

“A standing ovation from our audience! ?❌? #XFactor,” posted the show’s Twitter page.

Tweeting from the final day of auditions, new judge Louis said: “Really enjoying the audition process. Looking forward to getting my category now!”

He added: “The support online and from the audience has been sick. You’re all f**king amazing!”

And Simon told fans in a video at the end of filming: “It’s been brilliant, it’s been crazy, it’s been fun and now we’ve got the next part coming… wait and see.”

It was previously reported that this year, acts will go straight through to the six chair challenge from their audition, skipping the old ‘bootcamp’ phase.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s going to be more competitive than ever as those who get through the auditions will have to be the best of the best to survive the Six Chair Challenge.

“It’s all part of freshening up the show to match the new panel.

“It will add loads of drama and really spice things up.”

Meanwhile, during the auditions, Louis celebrated 8 years in the spotlight.

Reflecting back on auditioning for the show himself in 2010, where he became a part of boy band One Direction, Louis said: “#8YearsOfOneDirection Where has the time gone!?

“Thank you so much to every single person who’s ever supported us. Big love!”

The X Factor will air on ITV.

Sharon Osbourne will join the panel for the live shows.
