X Factor 2018 spoiler: Drag act Thomas Pound hopes to steal a seat with ‘This Is Me’

Here’s a first look at Saturday’s X Factor as Thomas Pound sings at the Six Chair Challenge.

This weekend is another X Factor double bill as the Six Chair Challenge continues.

Once more, the acts in each of the four categories will perform one at a time, singing for their mentor, the other judges and a live audience at Wembley.

As always in the six chair challenge, it’ll be each category’s mentor that has ultimate power. They’ll decide who to place in a seat, representing a spot at judges’ houses.

On Saturday night, Louis Tomlinson and his boys are in the spotlight.

They started the Six Chair Challenge last week, with Louis going into Saturday’s episode with six full seats.

Hoping to win one of them is Thomas Pound, who is also a drag act called Lady Frieda.

Back at his audition, Thomas sang Tina Turner’s Simply the Best as himself before Simon Cowell suggested: “You’re good, I like you. But this is what I feel, I think you should come back as her. I think it’d make more of an impact.”

Thomas then returned in drag as his alter ego Lady Frieda Wilde.

Singing another Tina Turner hit – Proud Mary – Thomas ended with four yeses.

“I really, really loved it,” declared Robbie Williams.

Simon joked: “You’ve got balls. People loved it. Whether your Lady Frieda or Thomas Pound, I don’t care because both of you have got a yes.”

In the six chair challenge, Thomas declares: “All my life I’ve been explaining myself to people and today more than anything is to prove to everyone be who you are, be different and stand out.”

He then goes on to sing This Is Me from The Greatest Showman.

You can watch a preview of his performance above.

Will it get him a chair from Louis and – most importantly – will he keep it until the end?

Only those left with a seat once everyone has been performed will be safe and through to judges’ houses.

The X Factor 2018 Six Chair Challenge begins Saturday at 8:35PM on ITV.
