The top X Factor 2018 finalists are a step closer to being revealed with the contestants in judges’ houses confirmed.
We had a total of eight audition shows before the Six Chair Challenge kicked off last weekend.
Over a total of three episodes, the 60 or so acts in the four categories were cut down to just 24 as the mentors took control for the first time this year and decided on their top contestants.
Last Saturday and Sunday, Simon Cowell and Ayda Williams got things started with the Girls and Overs respectively, selecting their six acts for judges’ houses.
Louis Tomlinson also got his Six Chair Challenge underway with the Boys, which continued this weekend before Robbie Williams and the Groups finished things off.
This year saw a new twist – The Golden X – which each mentor could use once at the Six Chair Challenge. When pressed, that act went straight through to judges’ houses.
