Who is Scarecrow on The Masked Dancer? Their true identity has been confirmed in tonight’s final!
The Masked Dancer’s first ever series airs all this week on ITV.
The mystery dancing competition sees celebrities sing-off to put on the best dance performance all while their identities are hidden behind dazzling masks and costumes.
Joel Dommett is fronting The Masked Dancer’s first series alongside celebrity judges Mo Gilligan, Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross.
Scarecrow is one of the masked dancers on the series this year – but who is behind the mask?
Who is Scarecrow on The Masked Dancer?
In the final, Scarecrow finished in fourth place and was revealed as actress Tamzin Outhwaite.
She said after being unmasked: “I was a fan of The Masked Singer and the judges and I loved the trick element of it. I loved the idea of dancing more.”
In their first dance on Saturday night’s episode, Scarecrow performed to Justin Timberlake & Anna Kendrick’s September. In their second performance, Scarecrow danced to Timber by Pitbull & Kesha. In their third outing, Scarecrow performed to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect.
In the semi-final, Scarecrow danced to *NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye while their final performance was to Years & Years and Jess Glynne’s cover of The Greatest Showman’s Come Alive.
Appearing in their opening VT, Scarecrow made references to recycling, housekeeping, posing, magic wand, doughnuts and the Olympics.
In a clue to the panel, in which Scarecrow removed two key words, said: “My BLANK was part of a BLANK story but it wasn’t happily ever after.”
In Episode 3, Scarecrow offered up two lies and a truth: “I always believe it’ll be alright on the night”, “I was always given a free ride”, “I was nominated for a Brooker prize”.
None of the panel guessed Tamzin’s identity, with guesses from the panel and viewers including Louisa Lytton, Kelly Holmes, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Michelle Keegan, Helen Skelton, Stacey Solomon, Fleur East and Stacey Dooley.
The Masked Dancer’s first season airs each night this week on ITV and the ITV Hub.
More mystery contestants competing in the competition in 2021 are Zip, Viper, Llama, Beagle, Knickerbocker Glory, Carwash, Beetroot, Rubber Chicken, Flamingo, Frog and Squirrel.
